Our trainers are experienced and friendly, making classes fun
Hello and welcome
Our aim is to help you train your dog to whatever level you chose; be it to have a sociable, well behaved, happy pet or the foundations of beginnings of obedience or other dog activities that you may choose in the future.
Cornwall DTC (previously Lanner DTC) was set up in 2002 by a group of enthusiasts where Karen is a founding member of the club. Karen and Sue have had over 20 years each of dog training experience, both have Pet Dog Institute Instructor Qualifications and over the years have received training themselves from top dog trainers in the UK and ensure that they keep their practices up to date. Sue is an obedience judge as well as a good citizen judge. Both trainers Karen and Sue have participated in competitive obedience attending shows throughout the UK, have competed in agility, and Karen has attended dog championship shows throughout the UK and has obtained championship status with her dogs.
We have ‘Kennel Club Listed Status’ which means we are able to offer you and your dog the opportunity of working towards obtaining the bronze, silver and gold Good Citizen Awards. The Good Citizen Scheme, which is not competitive, brings together simple exercises such as basic dog training, grooming, exercise, diet, cleaning up after the dog and general healthcare. All dogs are eligible for Good Citizen training, be they pedigree or cross-breed, young or old. Each level involves a gradual development in our understanding of dogs.
